Ms. Tilling Yam from Ziro, Lower Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh has devoted her life in the field of indigenous medicine preservation and protection, observation of important days, legal awareness programs among the people and celebrating festivals.
In recognition of her outstanding services to the community she is awarded the National Youth Award for the year 2011-12 by the Union Youth Affairs and Sport Ministry, Govt. of India.
She has worked as national service volunteer in Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ziro for several years and served as Gram Sabha chairperson, Hong Village.
A recipient of District Youth Award in 2008 and State Youth Award in 2010 given by NYK, Itanagar. She is presently actively associated with Hong Farmer Club, Ziro and Women’s Welfare Society among other rural and community development works.
