Hong Village, Ziro

Hong –  is a medium size village located in Ziro (Sadar) of Lower Subansiri district, Arunachal Pradesh with total 181 families residing. The Hong -village has population of 1197 of which 581 are males while 616 are females as per Population Census 2011.

In Hong –  village population of children with age 0-6 is 85 which makes up 7.10 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Hong –  village is 1060 which is higher than Arunachal Pradesh state average of 938. Child Sex Ratio for the Hong – as per census is 1125, higher than Arunachal Pradesh average of 972.

Hong –  village has higher literacy rate compared to Arunachal Pradesh. In 2011, literacy rate of Hong – I village was 79.86 % compared to 65.38 % of Arunachal Pradesh. In Hong – I Male literacy stands at 85.95 % while female literacy rate was 74.08 %.

As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act, Hong – I village is administrated by Sarpanch (Head of Village) who is elected representative of village.
